About this program

Villanova University's Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps has provided the nation with Navy and Marine Corps officers for more than 50 years, delivering world-class leadership development along with full tuition, a book stipend, and more. Its battalion of more than 70 midshipmen trains under an active-duty staff of highly experienced Sailors and Marines and is known for its dedication to excellence, motivation, and pride.

Battalion life is rich with signature events: the annual Fall Ball celebrates the Navy and Marine Corps birthdays with ceremonial drill and cake cutting, Military Excellence Competitions pit regional NROTC units against one another in physical and military skills, and each semester closes with a formal battalion parade. Prospective students get a look inside, too -- rising high-school seniors can attend a four-night, four-day on-campus summer experience to understand the balance between college life and the NROTC scholarship commitment.
