Show prospects your unit, with the material you already have
Your unit profile collects your people, videos, cadet life, stories and contact links in one place. Students and parents who compare colleges on ROTCScholar see it next to your school. You do not need to make new content.
How it works

Find your page
Every host unit already has a page under its school, for example /schools/your-school/army. If we assembled a profile from your public pages, it says so at the top.

Claim it
Email us from your official unit or school address, and include your role. We check it against your unit's public contact details before we turn on editing.
- 3
Add what you already have
Paste links to your videos, stories and social accounts, and add short profiles of cadre and cadets. Each section is optional. Sections with nothing in them do not show.

We review and publish
We check links, sources and contact details, and then publish. Your page then says "Profile claimed by unit" and shows the date of your last review.
Assembled or claimed
Assembled from public sources
We made the profile from your unit's public pages. We write short summaries, link to every source, and do not copy photos. The page says clearly that the unit has not reviewed it.
Profile claimed by unit
Your unit keeps the profile up to date. You can change the text, people, media and links, and the page shows when you last reviewed it.
What you can add
Only "About" and "Contact" are needed. A short profile with good contact details is better than a long one with old links.
About the unit

What to gather
- A tagline of one sentence (up to 120 characters)
- A short description of 2 or 3 sentences
- Optional: a longer description, and your history or traditions
- Write it like a recruiting page, not a press release. Keep it short.
Contact and links
NeededAnswers: “How do I reach the unit?”
What to gather
- Your unit recruiting inbox (for example, armyrotc@school.edu)
- Your official unit website
- Optional: an "Ask a Cadet" page or form, and your unit social accounts
- Use unit-controlled addresses only. We do not publish a cadet's personal email or phone.
- We link to social accounts. We do not show live feeds.
Videos and photos
OptionalAnswers: “What does the unit look like?”
What to gather
- The link to your best recruiting video on YouTube or Vimeo
- Optional: more video links, and photos that you own or have permission to use
- Paste the normal video link. We make the player ourselves. We do not accept embed code.
- Each photo needs a short description for people who use screen readers.
- Send only photos that you have the right to share, and tell us who to credit.
Meet the unit

What to gather
- Cadre and staff: name, rank, role, and 1 or 2 sentences
- Cadets: name, school, major, class year, and 1 sentence about them
- Optional: alumni and cadet leaders
- Get each cadet's agreement before you list them.
- Cadets at partner schools are welcome. Show their school so prospects there see someone like them.
Cadet life and traditions
OptionalAnswers: “What do cadets actually do here?”
What to gather
- Your teams and activities (for example, Ranger Challenge, Color Guard)
- A tradition that is special to your campus
- Optional: a sample day for a cadet
- Include only what your unit really does. There is no checklist to fill.
Stories and highlights
OptionalAnswers: “What has the unit done lately?”
What to gather
- Links to news stories about your unit, with the headline and date
- We show the headline and a summary of 1 or 2 sentences, and link to the original story. We do not copy articles.
Extra money from the university
OptionalAnswers: “Does this school add anything to an ROTC scholarship?”
What to gather
- The benefit and its value (for example, room and board, $6,000 per year)
- The school that pays it (each partner school can have a different offer)
- A public page that states the offer
- Every benefit needs a source link. We show the date we last checked it.
- Leave this empty if there is no extra benefit. We do not list national scholarship terms here, because they are the same at every unit.
What ROTCScholar keeps
Some facts are the same for every unit, or they drive our college comparisons. We keep these in the directory and check them against official sources. If one is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
- Which schools you host and which partner schools you serve
- Corps size, commissioning numbers and founding year
- National scholarship types and deadlines
- Distances and locations of schools
What we will not publish
- Personal email addresses or phone numbers of cadets
- Photos you do not have the right to share
- Full copies of news articles (we link to the original)
- Embed code from any site (paste the normal video link)
- A university benefit without a public source
- Reviews, ratings or rankings of units

Unit accounts are not open yet. Until they are, you send us your material and we enter it. You can see how the editor will work in the example below. It does not save anything.
