About this program
The Orleans Battalion—Tulane University's Army ROTC program—works to commission competent, confident officers and to give cadets the tools to be exceptional leaders and soldiers, holding them to high physical and mental standards. What sets it apart is its footprint across New Orleans: the battalion recruits cadets from eight schools in the city, so students at Tulane University, Loyola University, Dillard University, Xavier University, the University of New Orleans, Southern University at New Orleans, and the LSU Health Sciences Center can all sign a contract and commission through the program.
Army ROTC nationally has launched the careers of prominent leaders across government, business, and public life, and the Orleans Battalion aims to emulate the culture of today's Army while preparing its cadets to lead from day one.

Active-duty enlisted soldiers transition to officer via ROTC with several scholarship options (2-year, 3-year, 4-year).
