Air Force ROTC Detachment 320 at Tulane University is New Orleans' Air Force officer-commissioning program, committed to producing high-quality officers for the U.S. Air Force and Space Force while offering cadets a rewarding college experience and scholarship opportunities.
The detachment is a true regional consortium, serving cadets from seven institutions across the New Orleans area: Tulane University, Xavier University, Dillard University, Loyola University, the University of New Orleans, Delgado Community College, and the Louisiana State University Nursing School. That breadth lets students at a range of schools pursue a commission together.
After graduation, cadets commission as Air Force officers and can pursue high-demand career fields such as pilot, engineering, intelligence, space operations, nursing, special operations, and security forces.

Tuition + fees capped at $18,000/yr, plus $900/yr textbook allowance and monthly stipend ($300-$500); may convert to a housing scholarship (up to $10,000/yr). AY27-28 minimums: SAT 1310 / ACT 28 / CLT 93, GPA 3.3. Window: July 1 - December 11, 2026. Award type is fixed at selection - no upgrades.

In-College Scholarship Program for freshmen/sophomores already enrolled in AFROTC. The General Charles McGee Leadership Award (CMLA) covers non-scholarship cadets who receive an enrollment allocation.
