About this program

NROTC Norwich University is Norwich University's officer-accessions program for the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps. It has commissioned officers from this campus continuously since 1984. The Norwich University corps of cadets is one of only six Senior Military College corps in the country.

NROTC Norwich University runs as a consortium for midshipmen from University of Vermont, Saint Michael's College, and Vermont State University as well as Norwich University. Cross-town students typically retain their primary residency and academics at the home campus and route only military-side coursework through the host.

Midshipmen contract under Navy Option, Marine Option, or — at participating units — Navy Nurse Option, with full-tuition national scholarships available out of high school and side-load opportunities for college programmers. Norwich University midshipmen pursue degrees across a wide spectrum, with biology and pre-health programs and nursing and health professions drawing strong cohorts.
