Army ROTC at University of Arkansas
Razorback Battalion · Razorback
Razorback Battalion runs Army ROTC at University of Arkansas for cadets across Arkansas.
About this program
Army ROTC at the University of Arkansas—the Razorback Battalion—offers motivated college students real-world leadership training to become agile Army officers, with elective classes that build the foundation for a commission in the Active Army, Army Reserve, or Army National Guard across a variety of specialties. The program stresses that the leadership skills cadets gain also translate into success in any civilian career.
The University of Arkansas has been designated a Purple Star College, an honor recognizing its exceptional commitment to military students, veterans, and their families—a University of Arkansas first. The program's leadership development is further supported by the Colonel Gary Tidwell Endowed Leadership Speaker Series, a gift from a U of A alumnus that funds leadership programming for ROTC cadets and residence-hall assistants.
